What is it?
The Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours), PhB, is an exciting research focused degree at the ANU. The PhB was offered initially through the Faculty of Science and is for intellectually ambitious students who want to study at the highest level. Every student receives intensive individual attention from an academic supervisor. RSES offers research projects to PhB students as a part of the Advanced Studies courses through the Faculty of Science
How to apply?
PhB students wishing to do Advanced Study projects in RSES, should contact the school in the first instance for advice on projects, supervisors, and resources available.
- For students who are primarily interested in physics and want to do geophysical projects,
the RSES liaison is Dr Ross Kerr (02) 6125 4622)
- For students interested in other Earth Science areas, the PhB coordinator for the Earth Sciences
disciplinary area is Dr Andrew Christy (02) 6125 0561).
Examples of Advanced Studies Courses
In the Drop down menus below choose a subject type and if you know of a supervisor you wish to study under select the supervisors name then click on the search button and the relevant PhD projects will be displayed. If you do not make any selections all available PhD projects will be displayed.
