held in Brisbane, Queensland starting on Saturday August 7th
2010,
immediately following the 19th World Congress of Soil Science,
which
will include two sessions devoted to Soil Mineralogy.

Biennial Conference
held in conjunction with
the Australian Soil Science Society Meeting
Adelaide November 7th
2006
The
2006
biennial Conference of the ACMS meeting was included within
the
Conference of the Australian Society Of Soil Science in Adelaide.
Bob
Gilkes chaired the session, at which Leigh Sullivan spoke
on
schwertmannite and its effect on water quality
in
acid sulfate soils, and Cameron
Wearing delivered a paper on the nature
and stability of clay domains
in soils. John Keeling reported a
new variety
of asbestos from Rowland
Flat in
the Adelaide Hills, and on a philosophical note, Jock
Churchman's
topic was "W(h)ither soil mineralogy"
(a positive view). The session concluded
with Rob
Fitzpatrick's paper on soil mineralogy in
forensic investigations.
